According to a Delhi government health bulletin, there were 6,456 new Covid-19 cases and 262 deaths on Sunday, with the positivity levels dropping to 10.40 percent, the lowest in over a month.
The overall number of cases in the city has now reached 13,93,867, with a death toll of 21,506, according to the study.
This is the third day in a row that Delhi has seen less than 10,000 events.
The lower number of new incidents was attributed to the fact that there were 62,059 checks completed on Saturday.
On Saturday, Delhi posted 6,430 cases, the lowest number since April 7, with medical experts blaming the lockdown for the drop.
On Friday, 8,506 cases were registered, followed by 10,489 on Thursday, 13,287 on Wednesday, 12,481 on Tuesday, 12,651 on Monday, and 13,336 on Sunday.
According to government reports, the positive sentiment rate on Sunday was 10.40 percent, the lowest since April 11 when it was 9.4 percent.
Saturday’s optimism level was 11.32 percent, Friday’s was 12.4%, Thursday’s was 14.24 percent, Wednesday’s was 17%, Tuesday’s was 17.8%, Monday’s was 19.10 percent, and last Sunday’s was 21.67 percent.
On April 22, Delhi’s positivity score reached 36.2 percent, the highest in the country.
On Saturday, 337 people died, followed by 289 on Friday, 308 on Thursday, 300 on Wednesday, 347 on Tuesday, 319 on Monday, and 273 on Sunday. On May 3, the largest number of deaths (448) was confirmed.
According to the bulletin, 62,059 tests were performed on Saturday, including 45,094 RTPCR/CBNAAT/True Nat tests.
In one day, 9,706 people were rescued from Covid-19. According to the study, there are 62,783 active cases in Delhi, with 39,211 of them in home isolation.
About 13.09 lakh people have survived, migrated out, or been discharged, according to the study.
According to the bulletin, 7,895 of the city’s 24,144 hospital beds for coronavirus patients are empty.
The condition in Delhi with Covid-19 has been improving over the last few days, with the number of cases and positivity levels gradually decreasing. Earlier in the day, however, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal extended the city’s continuing lockdown until May 24, stating that the progress made so far in fighting the coronavirus could not be undone by now.
