After RR decided to bowl first at the Wankhede, Faf du Plessis and Moeen Ali helped CSK launch their innings aggressively. Both, however, were unable to translate their strong starts into major wins.
Until Chetan Sakariya dismissed them in the same over, Ambati Rayudu and Suresh Raina formed a close partnership. MS Dhoni, Ravindra Jadeja, and Sam Curran failed to get CSK going in the middle overs, but Dwayne Bravo’s cameo ensured the Super Kings finished on a high note with a total of 188.
