Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav emphasized the government’s commitment to ensuring that the youth of the state have access to employment and self-employment opportunities in line with their qualifications.

He stressed the importance of skill development to enhance employability and promote self-reliance among the youth.

To streamline these efforts, he proposed the creation of an integrated state employment portal that would consolidate the employment demands of various industries, provide information on relevant government schemes, offer necessary skill development, and deliver training resources, all on a single platform.

On Saturday, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav chaired a review meeting on employment and self-employment initiatives at Samatva Bhawan, located at his official residence.

During the meeting, Dr. Yadav assessed the performance of 11 departments involved in generating employment and promoting self-employment. The review covered the efforts made over the past 10 months, as well as a detailed discussion on the action plan for employment generation over the next four years.

The departments reviewed included Panchayat and Rural Development, Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises, Industrial Policy and Investment Promotion, Science and Technology, Urban Development and Housing, Horticulture and Food Processing, Labour, Cottage and Village Industries, Animal Husbandry and Dairy, Farmer Welfare and Agriculture Development, and the Technical Education, Skill Development, and Employment Department.

A Comprehensive Employment and Self-Employment Portal for Youth

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that the Integrated Employment State Portal should provide comprehensive information on all aspects of employment, including job opportunities, application processes, details of relevant schemes, qualifications, training programs and industry login. This portal will enable youth to access all employment and self-employment information in one place. Additionally, by reviewing the efforts of all departments, the portal will provide data on actual beneficiaries. It will also be linked to the Samagra portal. Dr. Yadav directed the formation of a joint committee comprising the Departments of Science and Technology, MSME, Labour, and Skill Development and Employment to take the necessary steps for the creation of the Integrated Employment State Portal.

Constantly follow up with investors and give necessary permissions on time

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that in interactive sessions in various states and Regional Industry Conclave at the divisional level in the state, many companies have shown commitment regarding the establishment of new units, MoUs and investment.

Constantly follow up with all those investors. Provide hand-holding and all necessary permissions on time. Every department should self-evaluate and set targets and complete them on time.

All departments should work in mutual coordination and integration

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav instructed departments to draw inspiration from successful skill development and employment generation initiatives in one district and replicate them in others. He emphasized the importance of inter-departmental collaboration, calling for departments to share their policies on skill development, start-ups and investment opportunities.

By working in coordination, the departments can create more employment opportunities and ensure tangible benefits for the state’s youth.

Additionally, departments should provide necessary marketing and branding support for their products. Special efforts should be made to promote the development of start-ups and strengthen their support systems.

The progress of self-employment and employment generation efforts across all departments will be reviewed every three months to ensure continuous improvement.

Chief Secretary Anurag Jain, Additional Chief Secretary Dr. Rajesh Rajoura, Additional Chief Secretary Mohammad Suleman and principal secretaries of the concerned departments were present in the meeting.
