After two days of fall, active cases of Covid-19 increased once again Thursday with more than daily infections.
The highest death rate since the 2020 pandemic in India was 4,120 in the last 24 hours, with a total to 2,58,317 deaths, whereas 3,62,727 fresh infections took a record number of active cases at 37,10525. The highest deaths were reported by India in the last 24 hours. In total, Covid-19’s tally of the country stands at 23,703,665 with 3,52,181 recoveries recorded over the last 24 hours.
The 24-hour Tally on Thursday is an increase from Wednesday, as Wednesday reported 3,48,421 new cases.
After two days of autumn, India again increased its active case on Thursday as daily infections exceeded the number of day-to-day recoveries once again. India was down to 37.04.099 on Wednesday, with an increase of 37.10.525, which amounted to 6.426 on Thursday.
In its worst fight against the pandemic, the country is fighting the highest increase in the number of deaths – exacerbated by the shortage of medical resources. However, as daily recoveries in recent days have gone beyond daily circumstances, a message in the curve has been flattened in the Centre’s data projects.
On Wednesday Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired a meeting to assess the country’s availability of oxygen and medicines. At present, the supply of oxygen at the first wave peak is threefold, the PM has been told. The Center will also penalise 1,50,000 units of the Oxycare System for the provision of a PM CARES fund at 322.5 crore on Wednesday.
