Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the President and Vice Presidents of Nigam Mandal should join the Vikas Yatra going on in the state and participate in the efforts to provide benefits of the schemes to the beneficiaries and make them aware. Under the Ladli Behna Yojana, an initiative has been taken to provide financial assistance to a large section of women in the society. Continuous efforts are being made for the welfare of various sections. Monthly assistance is being given every month to the people of special backward tribes Baiga, Saharia and Bharia. Scholarship is also being given to the students and help is being given to the daughters to pursue higher education.
Chouhan welcomed the president and vice-preidents of the corporation board at Chief Minister’s residence Samatva Bhawan in the meeting. He said that people’s representatives are getting cooperation in the implementation of development and beneficiary-oriented schemes in all the districts of the state. Ministers, MPs, MLAs are participating in the yatras. The officers of the corporation should also make these efforts successful by ensuring participation in the interest of the public.
Initially, the corporation president and vice-presidents expressed gratitude to Chouhan for organising the meeting by presenting mementos, Ganesh idols and artefacts. Makhan Singh, Chairman of Tirtha Mela Authority, Swami Akhileshwaranand, Vice Chairman of Gopalan and Cattle Promotion Board and several corporation presidents and vice-presidents were present.
