Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that rail is a better means of connecting people and culture. Panna will become a preferred area from the point of view of investment when the railway line is built and trains start. Investment, industry and employment opportunities will increase here.
Chief Minister Chouhan performed bhoomi-pujan of Panna railway station in Janakpur today. On this occasion, he also congratulated the people for getting the gift of the rail. He also said that Panna will shine like a diamond with the commencement of railways. People’s long-standing demand for rail line has been fulfilled.
The Chief Minister said that the organisation of Panna Gaurav Divas on Maharaja Chhatrasal Jayanti is also commendable. Maharaja Chhatrasal was a mighty ruler. Maharaja Chhatrasal made Panna the capital. He said that now the work on Lalitpur-Singrauli rail line will be expedited. Panna railway station will have a separate identity in the form of diamond. He expressed gratitude to the Railway Minister and the local MP for this gift. Appreciating the efforts being made by the Minister of Minerals for the prosperity of the residents, he expected Panna to reach a new level.
Railway Minister Ashwani Vaishnav said in his virtual address that the Panna railway station focused on diamond design will also be developed from the point of view of tourism. He talked about giving Vande Bharat train as a gift to tourists in Khajuraho and Panna Tiger Reserve soon by the end of June. He said that Prime Minister Shri Modi is committed for holistic development of Railways. In this financial year, a budget of Rs 13 thousand 600 crore has been made available for the development of railways. Along with this, the work of laying 5 thousand 200 kms railway track has been done per day till March 31. 40 thousand kms railway line has been electrified in nine years. The Railway Minister described Madhya Pradesh as a cultural land. Along with this, he informed about the speedy works of railways being undertaken in Madhya Pradesh.
Member of Parliament Shri Vishnudutt Sharma said that it is a fortunate opportunity for Panna residents to get the gift of rail. He congratulated the people on the achievement through tireless efforts. He said that the Prime Minister and the Chief Minister are committed for the sustainable development of Bundelkhand.
Expressing gratitude to the Railway Minister and Member of Parliament for this big gift, Minister for Mineral Resources and Labour Brijendra Pratap Singh urged for the completion of Khajuraho-Satna railway line by removing all the obstacles. General Manager of Railways gave the welcome address in the programme.
Union Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister Narendra Singh Tomar, State’s Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister Kamal Patel and other public representatives, officers-employees and a large number of common people were present in the programme.
