MP PCC chief and ex-CM Kamal Nath on Monday said the Congress fielded its MLA (Satna) Siddarth Kushwah for mayoral post in Satna to check corruption in the civic works.
The construction of one flyover and few other works does not make Smart City, Nath was addressing a gathering at Satna.
Referring to Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s speech a couple of days back at Satna, Nath said mere talking about smart city is not going to make Satna a smart city.
He said Shivraji never speaks on unemployment.
The only solution to remove unemployment is to attract industrial investments, MP is surrounded by five states and the investors are not interested in the state due to lack of confidence while they freely invest in Kerala and Tamil Nadu is challenge for Madhya Pradesh, Nath said.
Pushkar Singh Tomar former mayor of Bahujan Samaj Party in Satna has joined Congress amid presence of Nath.
