Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that sisters and daughters are goddesses for us. Where sisters and daughters are happy, there the society will be happy. Daughters should be considered a boon and not a burden that is why Ladli Laxmi, Mukhya Mantri Kanya Vivah-Nikah Yojana have been implemented in the state. For the empowerment of women, arrangements were made for reservation in panchayats and urban body elections and special rebate is given in the registry of immovable property in the name of women. Mukhya Mantri Ladli Bahna Yojana has also been implemented to make life easier for women.
Chouhan participates virtually from the residence office in the mass marriage conventions being held under the Mukhya Mantri Kanya Vivah-Nikah Yojana in Janpad Panchayat Ranapur of Jhabua district and Janpad Panchayat Gaurihar of Jhabua and Chhatarpur districts.
Chouhan extended best wishes to 217 couples of Ranapur Janpad, 195 of Jhabua and 310 of Gaurihar of Jhabua district who are tying the nuptial knot.
While blessing the newly married brides and grooms, Chouhan said that marriage is a sacrament, it is a bond of souls and togetherness for birth after birth. He wished that the newlywed couples live with love, enhance the honour and prestige of both the families, fulfill all the seven vows and also contribute to the welfare of the society.
Chouhan said that special arrangements will be made to connect newly married women with Ladli Bahna. Khajuraho MP VD Sharma also participated virtually. Local people’s representatives and family members of the brides and grooms were present in the conventions held in Jhabua, Ranapur and Gaurihar.
