Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav and Union Road and Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari will inaugurate a two-day seminar on “Latest emerging trends and technologies in the field of road and bridge construction” at Ravindra Bhawan, Bhopal on Saturday.
In the seminar, experts will share their experiences and suggestions on the latest technologies, materials and various aspects related to contract execution of road and bridge construction.
The seminar is being organized in collaboration with the Indian Road Congress and the Public Works Department of the Madhya Pradesh Government.
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav stated that the two-day seminar will provide a significant boost to infrastructure development in Madhya Pradesh and will play a crucial role in advancing the state’s construction projects.
The seminar will feature various technical sessions where experts from across the country will share insights on emerging technologies, innovative construction materials, and the challenges associated with executing EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) contracts.
This event is expected to drive progress and innovation in the state’s infrastructure initiatives.
Public Works Minister Shri Rakesh Singh and other dignitaries will be present in the seminar.
Major discussions, on the first day of the seminar on October 19, will focus on the implementation of new technologies under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, the use of new machinery in bridge construction, and new materials used in road construction.
There will also be intensive brainstorming on road safety, the use of IT technologies for monitoring projects, and the use of marginal materials.
On the second day (October 20), there will be a detailed discussion on the structure of EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) contracts, scheduling, the role of contractors in contract execution, and the role of supporting engineers.
In this, the resolution of disputes and challenges related to contracts will also be discussed.
In the concluding session, various experts and representatives will present their views on the use of new technologies in road and bridge construction through a panel discussion.
The objective of the seminar is to enhance the quality of road and bridge construction in the state and ensure timely and sustainable infrastructure development with the latest technologies.
By bringing together experts from government and private sectors, experiences and innovations will be exchanged.
This will provide new direction and strength to the infrastructure projects of the state.
