Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan denied a photo of religious place of a community where a youth hoisting saffron flag tweeted by Congress MP (Rajya Sabha) and former chief minister Digvijay Singh is not of Madhya Pradesh.

Later in the day, An FIR is registered against Congress MP (Rajya Sabha) and former chief minister Digvijay Singh under sections 153-A, 295-A 465 505(2) of IPC at the Police Station Crime Branch Bhopal on a complaint of a BJP worker alleging Singh of spreading communal hatred by uploading morphed photograph and wrong facts relating Khargone incident.

State Minister for Medical Education and Bhopal Gas Tragedy Relief and Rehabilitation Vishwas Sarang today has written a letter to the chief executive officer of Twitter to suspend the Twitter handle of Congress MP (Rajya Sabha) and former chief minister Digvijay Singh for inflammatory posts spreading communal hatred.

Chouhan termed the tweet of Digvijay Singh as conspiracy to spread religious hatred and to fuel riots in the state.

The chief minister said “I will not tolerate” any person to conspire to spread riots and to push the state into riots”.

Singh on Tuesday tweeted a photo of a religious place where a youth hoisting saffron flag and posed queries is it appropriate to take a sword and cane in hand and unfurl flag on a religious place. Does the Khargone administration allowed to take out procession with swords?………

Commenting on Singh’s tweet, State Home Minister Narottam Mishra told reporters Digvijay Singh has spread confusion.

Mishra said he (Digvijay Singh) spreads such confusions to defame Madhya Pradesh or to create communal tension.

In past Singh tweeted a picture of a bridge of Pakistan and related it to Bhopal, now the picture tweeted is of a mosque outside the state is shown as of Madhya Pradesh, this tweet has gone viral, Mishra said.

He said legal experts are consulted on the issue and action will be taken accordingly.
