Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the answers given by various departments in the legislative assembly should be clear and factual. All the departments should provide information related to them to the Legislative Affairs Department well in time. Officers should remain at the headquarters during the budget session. The budget to be presented by the state government will be a budget to take forward the building of self-reliant Madhya Pradesh. In relation to the provisions being made for various departments in the budget, after the presentation of the budget, the departmental ministers should also have a meaningful dialogue with the people of the state regarding these provisions.
Chouhan was discussing with the officials regarding the preparations for the Vidhan Sabha budget session at the government airport. Additional Chief Secretary Legislative Affairs Vinod Kumar, Principal Secretary Legislative Assembly Awadhesh Pratap Singh, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Manish Rastogi and Principal Secretary Public Relations Raghvendra Singh were present. All ministers, Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains, Additional Chief Secretaries, Principal Secretaries, Secretaries attended the meeting virtually.
It was informed that in the session running from February 27 to March 27, 8 bills of 5 departments are likely to be presented including 3 of Finance Department, 2 of Urban Development and Housing, one bill each of Industrial Policy and Investment Promotion, Higher Education and Micro, Small and Medium industries Department.. In the meeting, information about the updated status regarding Zero Hour, incomplete answers, assurances and pending recommendations of the Public Accounts Committee of all 55 departments was presented by the departmental officers.
