Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today worshiped Lord Mahakal with his wife at Mahakaleshwar Temple after the prayers and wishes made in the recent days for good rainfall in the state were fulfilled.
He performed Shadshopachar puja of Baba Mahakal amidst chanting of Vedic mantras. The CM prayed to Lord Mahakal for the prosperity of the entire state and the well-being of the people of the state. Son Kunal Singh Chouhan also participated in the worship. In the sanctum sanctorum, Pt Pradeep Guru, Pt Dilip Guru and others performed the worship. After that, about 71 priests including Pt Ghanshyam Pujari, Pt Pradeep Guru, Pt Satyanarayan Sharma performed the puja in Nandi Hall.
Water Resources Minister Tulsiram Silawat, MP Anil Firojia, former Union Minister Dr. Satyanarayan Jatiya, MLA Paras Jain, Bahadur Singh Chauhan, Mayor Mukesh Tatwal, Chairperson Kalawati Yadav, former MP Chintamani Malviya, Vivek Joshi, Vishal Rajouria, Iqbal Singh Gandhi, Sanjay Aggarwal, former MLA Dilip Singh Shekhawat, Jagdish Aggarwal, etc. were present.
Devotees presented a cheque of Rs 51 lakh
After offering prayers to Lord Mahakal at Mahakaleshwar temple devotees from Mumbai presented cheque of Rs 51 lakh to Chief Minister Chauhan at nandi mandpam.
Chief Minister Chouhan handed over the cheque to the Mahakal Temple Management Committee.
