Chief Minister Chouhan, giving the good news to Ladli Bahnas said that LPG cylinder will be available for only Rs 450.
He launched the cylinder refilling scheme. Lakshmi Raikwar of Bilganya village of Jatara tehsil has become the first beneficiary of the scheme. Union Social Justice Minister Dr. Virendra Kumar and Minister of State for Forests Rahul Singh got the application of Raikwar for obtaining domestic gas cylinder at Rs 450 completed. Similarly, the second beneficiary of Ujjwala scheme, Abhilasha Sahu, got the registration process completed. Abhilasha Sahu is a resident of Ward no. 26 of Tikamgarh.
Chief Minister Chouhan addressed the programme organised at SAI Hockey Stadium, Tikamgarh virtually from Omkareshwar and wished the people of Tikamgarh.
He could not participate directly in the programme due to incessant rain.
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan performed the bhoomi-pujan of the new medical college to be built in Tikamgarh worth Rs 268 crore. It will be built on 35 acres of land in village Madhuban of Tikamgarh tehsil. There will be provision for 100 MBBS seats. It will be equipped with modern facilities and equipment. Tikamgarh and surrounding districts will also benefit from the opening of the medical college.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that I had a strong desire to reach Tikamgarh and have a direct discussion with you, earlier also a programme had been made but direct discussion with you could not take place.
He said that due to continuous rain today he was unable to come to Tikamgarh.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that I will soon come to Tikamgarh and have a direct interaction with you.
Chief Minister Chouhan, while congratulating the people of Tikamgarh for the medical college, said that the college will produce 100 doctors every year. The medical college spread over a total area of 66 thousand square meters will be equipped with modern equipment. Tikamgarh and surrounding districts will also benefit from the opening of the medical college.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that Tikamgarh is famous for its natural beauty and cultural richness. There are many other features here also. The government and the people of Tikamgarh will together develop Tikamgarh into a beautiful city.
`Registration on the portal necessary to avail the benefits of the scheme
Chief Minister Chouhan said that I had promised my Ladli Bahnas to provide gas cylinders for Rs 450 on Rakhi, and had also said that this facility will be continued. Fulfilling that promise, I have implemented the plan for this. Now one cylinder will be available at the rate of Rs 450 per month to Ladli Bahnas and beneficiary sisters of Ujjwala scheme. The sisters will have to buy cylinders from the gas company at the selling rate only. The difference amount will be refunded to the Ladli Bahnas in their bank accounts. The subsidy amount will be deposited by the oil company in the accounts of the beneficiary sisters of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana and this subsidy amount will be given to the oil company by the state government. The state government will directly deposit the subsidy amount into the bank accounts of those Ladli Bahnas who are not beneficiaries of the Ujjwala scheme.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that the sisters will have to register on the portal to avail the benefits of the scheme. LPG connection ID and Samagra ID will be required for registration. Registration will be done at all those centres where Ladli Bahna Yojana registration is done.
Our government keeps its word
Chief Minister Chouhan said that our government does whatever it says. It was said that there will be a hike in the amount given to the Ladli Bahnas, accordingly Rs 1250 will be made available from the month of October. This amount will be gradually increased to Rs 3 thousand. This is an effort in the direction to improve the lives of our Ladli Bahnas. Various schemes and programmes are being implemented by the state government with the aim of ensuring that there is no suffering in the lives of the sisters and to boost their respect and self-confidence. Arrangements and encouragements are being provided at every level for the education of the sisters, students are being continuously motivated through bicycles, scooties and laptops. The fees for their admission in medical and engineering colleges are also being paid by the state government.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that the area under irrigation in the state has continuously increased. Now Ken-Betwa link project has also been approved. All possible assistance is being provided to the farmers for farming. Prime Minister Shri Modi and the state government are continuously releasing funds as assistance to the farmers.
