On Wednesday, a Jabalpur businessman was arrested at Raja Bhoj airport with fifteen live Bullets. Bullets were discovered in his baggage. The bullets were purportedly smuggled from Jabalpur by him.
The retrieval sparked great panic at the airport because the event occurred only a few days before Independence Day. Security authorities were taken aback when they discovered the man had traveled by rail from Jabalpur to Bhopal without the bullets being detected.
The businessman, named Ajay Khandelwal, had arrived in Bhopal on Wednesday morning and was ready to board an Indigo aircraft destined for Ahmedabad when the bullets were discovered at security check-in, according to Gandhi Nagar police.
Khandelwal was apprehended by the CISF and handed over to Gandhi Nagar police. Later, the accused was charged under different provisions of the Arms Act. Khandelwal claimed to possess a gun and had filed to renew his license, according to Gandhi Nagar SHO Arun Sharma. He was on his way to Ahmadabad for kidney treatment.
