New Delhi. China on Thursday welcomed the hosting of the Organization of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) on Republic Day of India with caution. This move is seen as an answer to India’s growing influence in the Chinese territory. China said that it has no objection to growing friendship and cooperation with India’s 10-member group. Ministry spokesman Hu Chiang said that China has open thinking about developing friendly relations of all countries. Therefore, we do not mind objectionable and friendly relations with ASEAN countries. Hua said that we hope that all the countries can work together for peace, sustainability and the region. We all can play a constructive role in this context. Last year, India invited leaders from ASEAN to participate in Republic Day celebrations. Most ASEAN leaders have reached the ceremony in New Delhi.
