Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that convenient schemes for the development of small scale industries related to other departments like Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises should be rationalized and brought under one roof.

He also gave instructions to create a Skills Bank in view of the investors’ inclination to set up industries in Madhya Pradesh, so that industries can get work-force together.

In the meeting, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav informed that recently when he had gone to Mandideep, an industrial centre located in Raisen district near the capital Bhopal, the entrepreneurs had informed him about the problems of the industrial area.

The entrepreneurs also said that they have got some internal roads constructed in Mandideep on their own.

In this context, in the review meeting of the Department of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises in the Mantralaya today, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav directed that the Department of Industries and the Department of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises should resolve the problems of entrepreneurs immediately.

In the industrial area, along with land development in industrial institutions, it should be ensured that sewerage system, drinking water system and other basic facilities are provided to the entrepreneurs.

All the departments related to the industry have to find a way to promptly solve the problems related to industry. For this, the Department of Industries should play a leadership role.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that various trade fairs add speed to the pace of the economy. Trade fairs and festivals should be organised in other cities on the lines of the trade fairs of Gwalior and Ujjain.

Other major instructions of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav

  • The Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Department should also conduct continuous review to provide necessary permissions to entrepreneurs. Senior officials of the department should hold review meetings on a weekly basis to encourage small industries and small entrepreneurs.
  • Provide necessary facilities in districts where there is a possibility of development in the powerloom sector.
  • Small and medium enterprises of similar nature of different departments should be brought under one roof. Uniformity policy can also be implemented in providing subsidies and facilities given by a particular department.
  • Departments should make all schemes similar. Create a skills bank in which skilled or trained force of all trades should be included, it will help in providing worker force to industries.

More than four and a half thousand crores of business was done from Gwalior and Ujjain trade fairs

In the meeting, it was told in the presentation by the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Department that this year more than 1800 crores of business was done in the Gwalior Trade Fair. Trade worth Rs 2765.25 crore was done in Ujjaini Vikram Trade Fair. More than 700 women entrepreneurs participated in Mahila Udyam Sammelan Bhopal. MSME department also played a role in Laghu Udyog Bharati Dewas Industrial Conclave. Special work has been started in garments, textile, pharma furniture and food processing sector along with powerloom. A grant amount of Rs 275 crore has been provided to a total of 850 units in MSME sector in the month of August.

A total of four and a half thousand startups and 70 incubators established in the state

Q It was told in the meeting that startups are being encouraged in the state. A total of 2168 startups are run by women. A total of four and a half thousand startups and 70 incubators have been established in the state. A startup center has been established in Bhopal. In the last two years, the number of recognized startups has increased by 150 percent. The state has been ranked in the leader category in the startup ranking of the Government of India. A contract has been signed with Alternative Investment Funds through which the state government has invested 2.25 crores. An investment of 11 crores has been received for three startups of the state.

11 clusters have been approved by private developers on government land in Madhya Pradesh. 24 clusters have been approved on private land which will have more than 2100 plots. 291 plots will be developed in 5 new industrial areas of the state and 6 industrial areas will be upgraded.
