Raipur, Chhattisgarh: Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, on Friday, gave instructions to Chief Secretary Sunil Kujur to help the neighboring state Odisha in wake of Cyclone ‘Fani’.
Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Friday gave instructions to Chief Secretary Sunil Kujur in wake of Cyclone Fani to make necessary arrangements and be able to help the neighboring state Odisha.
Chief Minsiter Baghel has been occupied in the election campaigns in Uttar Pradesh but amidst the hectic schedule he acted swiftly to the disaster management needs.
He directed the Chief Secretary to keep Chhattisgarh ready with all the necessary aid possible for Odisha.
The CS immediately directed the officials of concerned departments also the State Disaster Management Force (SDMF) to be prepared for extending help to the affected.
“Odisha is not only our neighboring state. Orissi people share the same culture as ours,” Chief Minister told the CS.
“The people of the two states also share common food habits and socio-culture. In this situation when the people of Odisha are facing difficulty due to natural disaster, we stand behind them,” he added.
