Two cabinet ministers, including health minister TS Singh, have tested positive for coronavirus, causing controversy during the state Assembly’s ongoing budget session.
T S Singhdeo, the state health minister, and Jaisingh Agrawal, the revenue minister, both tested positive for the dangerous virus on Monday, amid a recent increase in Covid-19 cases recorded in Chhattisgarh.
“I would like to inform you all that I have been tested positive for COVID-19. While no major signs have shown, I am maintaining self-isolation for the next few days as a precaution. On Monday, Health Minister TS Singh Deo issued a humble appeal to those who have had direct contact with me in the last few days: “If you encounter any signs, please get yourself checked and take all possible precautions,” he said.
Against all measures, Covid has contaminated Chhattisgarh Health Minister TS Singh Deo. Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel tweeted, “I wish him a speedy recovery in his fitness.”
Ashok Gehlot, the Chief Minister of Rajasthan, wished him a swift recovery. “Wishing a swift recovery to @TS SinghDeo ji, Chhattisgarh Cabinet Minister and senior Congress chief, who has tested positive for #Covid 19,” he tweeted. Will he recover quickly.
Jai Singh Agarwal, the Revenue Minister, and Arun Vora, a Congress MLA from Durg, had previously been found to be Covid positive.
