For the 2021-22 academic session of classes 10 and 12, the Central Board of Secondary Schools opted to streamline the syllabus. The 2021 batch Board examinations shall take place in two languages, each with a 50% curriculum.
The CBSE announced the 2021-22 academic semester would be split into two parts, in a official statements.
A methodical approach will be taken by specialists to explore the interconnectedness of concepts and subjects.
The Board shall examine the split curriculum at the conclusion of each semester.
“This is done to increase the probability of having a Board conducted classes 10 and 12 examinations at the end of the academic session,” the statement read.
The Board of Directors has reiterated that in view of the Covid crisis, they have to cancel class 10 and class 12 exams and have to continue class online and announced a range of measures in line with its focus on assessing stipulated learning outcomes by establishing exam competencies and core concepts based, student-centered, transparent, and technology-driven the Board has announced.
The Board indicated in regard to internal evaluation that the three periodic examinations, student enhancement, portfolio,, and practical work/listening speech activities/project would cover classes 9 and 10 throughout the year, regardless of terms 1 and 2, irrespective of year. Included in internal assessments would be the end of subject or unit tests/explorational activities/practices/projects for Classes 11 or 12.
While the Term 1 examination will be held on a flexible timetable for schools in different areas of the country and overseas between November and December 2021, Term 2 will take place at test centers established by the Board, around March-April 2012.
But, in view of the current scenario, the board stated that it will analyze and carry out the exams Terms 1 and Terms 2.
CBSE, the official release added, would make efforts to increase credibility and validity in internal evaluation, practical work, and project work. In order to guarantee equitable distribution of marks, the Board declared the Moderation Policy is published.
Schools would also provide a profile of students for all tests conducted during the academic year, CBSE noted.
