The hearing on the Class 12th board exam case has been postponed to Monday, May 31 by the Supreme Court of India. Advocate Mamta Sharma filed the petition, which requested that the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE) ‘cancel the Class 12th examinations’ for the 2020-21 batch.
The cancellation of the CBSE Class 12 board examinations on May 18 has also been challenged in the Supreme Court. In his plea, Tony Joseph, a Kerala teacher, claims that abolishing examinations will be an unjust choice for kids.
On Sunday, Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal requested states to submit proposals for the 12th final examinations, promising that a decision will be made as soon as possible. On June 1, the CBSE will most likely release the dates, timetable, and paper format for the Class 12 board exam.
While several states, such as Chhatisgarh, have already released their 12th board exam schedules, the UP Board has stated that the decision on Class 12 examinations would be made by the end of May. Varsha Gaikwad, Maharashtra’s education minister, said the state will decide on HSC examinations in a week. Class 12th Board examinations are supported by Karnataka, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, and Assam. In the midst of the continuing COVID-19 epidemic, Delhi and Jharkhand are opposed to examinations.
The Maharashtra School Education Minister revealed today, May 28, that the SSC Class 10th exam results would be revealed by the end of June, adding that the SSC Class 10 Maharashtra Board exam results would be issued based on the marks acquired in the internal tests in Class 9 and Class 10.
