CBI has reached the Supreme Court against the release of Rajesh and Nupur in connection with the country’s famous Aarushi murder case. On Thursday, the CBI has challenged the Allahabad High Court order in the Supreme Court. Let us tell you that the Allahabad High Court acquitted Talwar couple by canceling the CBI court’s decision.
Allahabad High Court had released them
Let us remind you that on October 12, Allahabad High Court acquitted Talwar couple. After which there was no appeal within the stipulated time of the CBI. The questions were raised whether nobody had killed Aarushi-Hemraj. The High Court had said in its order that no such evidence proves that Talwar couple is guilty and therefore they should be released from jail.
It is noteworthy that in 2008 in a flat in Noida, Hemraj, who was working at Aarushi’s house, was brutally murdered. Aarushi’s dead body was lying in her room while the servant Hemraj’s body was found lying on the terrace. In this case, the police arrested Arushi’s parents Rajesh and Nupur Talwar.
CBI gave clean chit earlier
The CBI had earlier examined the circumstantial evidence based on this matter but later gave Closer Report to the Ghaziabad CBI Court. But the court had grounded the circumstantial evidence and rejected the CBI Closure Report. On November 26, 2013, the CBI Court convicted both the accused and sentenced them to life imprisonment. Talwar couple was locked in Ghaziabad’s Dasna jail from November 2013, but the High Court reversed the decision of the lower court and declared both of them innocent.
