The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has conducted searches at 07 places including at Kolkata at the premises of accused and others including then President of West Bengal Board of Primary Education (WBBPE), then Secretary of WBBPE & a private company in an on-going investigation of a case. The incriminating materials, electronic evidences etc. recovered during searches are being scrutinized.
The accused are Chandan Mondal @ Ranjan of Bagda, 24 Parganas (North), West Bengal, the unknown office bearers of West Bengal Board of Primary Education and the Unknown others.
CBI had registered a case on 09.06.2022 against an accused and unknown office bearers of West Bengal Board of Primary Education & unknown others on the allegations that a number of failed / ineligible candidates were given appointment as Assistant Teachers in primary schools illegally through Teachers Eligibility Test, 2014, conducted by West Bengal Board of Primary Education.
It was further alleged that the Primary selection process of TET-2014, the evaluation process were done dubiously as wrong question and / or answer keys were designed in disguised manner for depriving the eligible candidates, the official note of CBI said on Thursday.
The said case was registered on the orders dated 08.06.2022 of High Court, Calcutta passed in WPA 9979 of 2022.
The investigation in the case is continuing.
