The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested an absconding accused from District Latur (Maharashtra) in a case related to Forest Guard Recruitment Test-2013 conducted by Vyapam.
The accused persons arrested including absconding Hariom Gupta and candidate Rajkumar.
The CBI had registered the instant case in compliance of the orders dated 09.07.2015 & 11.09.2015 of the Supreme Court of India and taken over the investigation for trial from Madhya Pradesh Police. Earlier, an FIR No. 115/2013 dated 03.03.2013 was registered with Police Station Ambah, District Morena (M.P.) against the accused Hariom Gupta and candidate Rajkumar on complaint from Centre Superintendent of a Higher Secondary School, Ambah.
It was alleged that during the Forest Guard Recruitment Test-2013 held on 03.03.2013, the accused Hariom Gupta appeared in the written examination against Roll No.394262 in the name of original candidate.
During investigation, the said accused (an impersonator) had been arrested by Police on 03.03.2013 and his specimen finger prints were also taken. After investigation, a charge-sheet was also filed by the Police against the said impersonator and a candidate in the Court of Judicial Magistrate on 06.06.2013.
During the trial, the said accused having permanent address in District Maharajganj (Uttar Pradesh), fled from the Judicial process and Non-Bailable Warrant (NBW) was issued against him by the Trial Court.
The CBI searched various places in Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand and Maharashtra in search of the said accused.
After strenuous efforts, CBI traced the said absconding accused and arrested him from Latur (Maharashtra).
The arrested accused was produced before the Additional Session Judge for CBI Cases at Gwalior and remanded to judicial custody.
