The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested a West Central Railway Senior Divisional Mechanical Engineer (DME), Diesel Locoshed, Itarsi (Madhya Pradesh) for demanding & accepting bribe of Rs. 50,000/- from the Complainant.
A case was registered on complaint against West Central Railway Senior Divisional Mechanical Engineer (DME), Diesel Locoshed, Ajay Kumar Tamrakar posted in Itarsi (MP).
It was alleged that the accused demanded bribe of Rs. 3,50,000 from the Complainant for taking him on job as peon.
CBI led a trap and caught the accused while accepting bribe of Rs. 50,000 from the Complainant, the official note of CBI said on Monday.
The searches were conducted at the premises of the accused which led to recovery of incriminating documents/articles.
The arrested accused is being produced today before the Special Court (CBI Cases) at Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh.
