More cabins will soon be made at the railway stations of Kerala. Royal City has offered sponsored the project of cabin built at Kollam railway station. The cabin is of pink color and a symbolic picture is printed inside the breastfeeding cabin. In each cabin there is a fan and a light for the feeding mother. Earlier, they had planned to make these cabin near the bus stop. But due to its inaccuracy, they are now built at the railway station.
The breastfeeding cabins are set up in the waiting room for the ladies. As the new cabins were brought, the authorities plan to set them up in the first and second platforms. Since they are set up in the platforms, the passengers can see the cabins. The project was inaugurated by Rotary Governor Suresh Mathew. The railways had already set up two cabins in the ladies’ waiting room, but the “venture of Rotary Club is a model”, said station manager P. S. Ajayakumar.
