The phased unlocking of ‘corona curfew’ restrictions on Saturday (29 May 2021) was approved, by Madhya Pradesh, on June 1, but it will remain in effect throughout the state during the weekend.
Madhya Pradesh Minister-in-chief Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that the positivity of COVID-19 in places above five and below 5% will have separate unlocking guidelines.
He informed that, irrespective of the unlock of the coronavirus-induced curfew, the weekend from 10 PM on Saturdays to 6 AM on Mondays.
“Based on these guidelines and local COVID-19 situation and circumstances, the crisis management committees at the district, ward, block and village levels will take decisions about unlocking their respective areas from June 1,” the Chief Minister added.

— The activity is not permitted in cultural, political, social, sports, fairs and entertainment.
— schools, colleges, schools, cinemas, malls, theatre, auditoriums, picnic venues will be still closed.
— The number of married participants from each side is limited to 10. (total 20). The list of guests is required to be provided to the local government in advance.
— The funeral can be attended by a maximum of 10 people.
— Only four people in religious sites in the country will be allowed to worship.
— Government offices shall be permitted to operate in the presence of 50% of employees and 100% of officers except for those who participate in essential activities.
— During the unlocking phase industrial activities, hospitals, nursing homes, oil pumping plants, pharmacies, ration shops, agriculture, etc. shall be permitted.
— Taxis with two persons are allowed to fly, but must follow the guidelines COVID-19.
In the meantime, the case of COVID 19 has increased to 7,77,349 in Madhya Pradesh, whereas death toll is 7,959. The state has 30,899 active cases of coronavirus.
