Manikarnika, Kangana Ranaut starrer movie was released on Friday with a positive response and a bang! From business perspective, the movie bagged Rs 8.75 crores just on first day. In a tweet, trade analyst Taran Adarsh stated that Manikarnika had a box office opening. Scroll down for more details!

The movie stars Kangana Ranaut as Rani Laxmi Bai, Atul Kulkarni as Tatya Tope, Jissu Sengupta as Gangadhar Rao, Suresh Oberoi as Bajirao and many others.
Indian film critic and journalist, Taran Adarsh, tweeted, “The movie picked up towards evening, after an ordinary/dull start in morning. Republic Day holiday today should witness a big turnaround. Sure, there’s appreciation, but it has to convert into footfalls, Fri ₹ 8.75 cr.”
The Kangana-starrer was not the only film which released this week. Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s Thackeray which has been directed by Abhijit Panse also hit the theatres this week. The movie is based on the life of Bal Thackeray, the founder of the Indian political party Shiv Sena. It also stars Amrita Rao in the lead role.
