Anushka Sharma, the actress, posted a video on Instagram on Sunday thanking fans for their birthday wishes. She also explained that she did not observe her birthday. Anushka celebrated her 33rd birthday on Saturday.
Anushka said in the video: “Hello everybody, I hope you are all safe. I only wanted to say a heartfelt “Thank You” for all of the wonderful birthday wishes. It really made my day memorable. But it sure didn’t feel right to mark my birthday in the middle of all this agony and misery. But I’ve seen your personal messages to me, and I’ve got an interesting message for you. In this hour of crisis, I would like to appeal to everybody to come together and help our country.”
She also hinted that she and Virat Kohli were working on something. “Virat and I are teaming up to do our part. We will have more information as soon as possible so that you can join us in this campaign. Keep in mind that we’re all in this together, so just stay safe and take care of yourself.”
On Saturday, the actor’s friends and colleagues took to social media to wish her a happy birthday.
Kareena Kapoor wished Anushka a happy birthday with a monochrome picture. Sonam Kapoor posted a throwback picture of herself with Anushka and wished her a happy birthday on Instagram. referring to her as a ” Happy Happy Birthday, you trailblazer,” Sonam wrote:
Jacqueline Fernandez also wished Anushka on her Instagram story with a throwback picture and along with it, she wrote “Love you @anushkasharma.” Riteish Deshmukh and Vivek Oberoi also wished her on the occasion.
For the last two years, the character has been out of the spotlight. She was most recently seen in Zero, alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif. She recently completed two projects: the Amazon Prime Video web series Pataal Lok and the Netflix film Bulbul.
