Voter verification work will start in the state of Madhya Pradesh from September 20.
Chief Electoral Officer Anupam Rajan has issued instructions to all the collectors and district election officers, to ensure that the voter list is completely pure, all the BLOs of the state will go door-to-door to verify the voters.
Rajan said on the instructions of the Election Commission of India, the work of second special brief revision of photo electoral roll-2023 is going on in the state. Under this, voter verification work will be done door-to-door for 10 days by all 64 thousand 523 BLOs of the state, which will start from September 20 and this action will continue till September 30.
During this period, the BLO will visit each voter’s home and verify it through the BLO app. Dead voters and double entry voters will be investigated. During investigation, if any voter is found dead or duplicate, action will be taken as per rules to remove his name from the voter list.
