Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that the black market of fertilizers and seeds will not be tolerated in the state.

He instructed that strict action must be ensured against anyone found involved in black marketing.

He emphasized that there should be no shortage of fertilizers and seeds for farmers during the Rabi season. Arrangements for storage and supply should be made in advance.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav instructed that Agricultural Development Officers at the block level should be trained by October 15th.

He also directed that the necessary arrangements for fertilizers and seeds should be made in areas identified for crop sowing in the state.

Adequate availability of fertilizers and seeds should be maintained during October and November to avoid any inconvenience to the farmers.

He mentioned that discussions regarding the availability of fertilizers and seeds will be held through video conferencing with public representatives and district officials.

Increased Allocation of DAP Due to Chief Minister’s Efforts

In the meeting, it was informed that due to the efforts of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, the Government of India has increased the allocation of DAP to 8 lakh metric tons, compared to the previously agreed 6 lakh metric tons for Rabi 2024-25.

Instructions have been issued to districts for the use of NPK instead of DAP, which prevented a shortage of DAP during Kharif 2024.

To compensate for the shortage of DAP, sufficient quantities of urea and SSP are available in the state.
