Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) presidential candidate Draupadi Murmu on Friday said I am ready to serve the country by remaining within constitutional limit.
She was addressing the party MLAs and dignitaries coming from across the state at Bhopal. She earlier arrived at Bhopal to gather support from the party MLAs for her candidature in the presidential polls.
She said I thank you all very much and thank you all for the support that I am getting.
BJP presidential candidate said the way you have welcomed me in Madhya Pradesh today, such a welcome I experience for first time in my life. I will never forget this.
Murmu told the party MLAs that you know that there is no one behind me, for me only this country, this soil and service to the supreme soul is the goal, my life is to give service to the nation and society.
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said Madhya Pradesh is the holy land of Raja Bhoj, queen Kamalapati. Large parts of Madhya Pradesh were ruled by the Gond kings for many years.
He said I once again welcome and felicitate the respected Draupadi Murmu ji in this holy land.
Chouhan said after being declared as the presidential candidate, Didi Draupadi Murmu, as usual, was sweeping with broom the premises of temple in her village. Surely our didi will increase the dignity of the presidency further, we all believe that it is easy and simple.
Didi’s simplicity will increase the dignity of post of president we all believe, Chouhan added.
