Madhya Pradesh BJP candidate Vivan Toppo alongwith his family want to returns to Hinduism at a time when he (Vivan) is contesting civic body election from the Gopeshwar municipal ward no.15 in Makronia in Sagar district.
Vivan Toppo father Rajendra Toppo aged 33 years resident of Makronia district Sagar MP reportedly mentioned in his affidavit of June 24, 2022 that from child hood my identity is of Christian religion, my ancestors were follower of Sanatan Dharma they were Scheduled Tribe of Gond Thakur, my faith and prayers was of Hindu religion and presently follow Hindu religion therefore I alongwith my family denounce Christianity and return to original Hindu religion doing without any fear and greed. Also he mentioned in the affidavit that in few days will apply for change of religion before the district collector and complete the formalities therein.
