Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has expressed satisfaction over the successful operation and implementation of departmental schemes during the review of the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Department. MSME
In the review done recently, it was told that about 75 lakh 10 thousand people have been employed by 14 lakh 39 thousand micro, small and medium enterprises registered in the state.
An investment of 48 thousand 710 crores has been made in these small units. MSME department has the biggest role in reducing the unemployment rate in Madhya Pradesh.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav has asked MSME Minister Chaitanya Kumar Kashyap to develop the micro, small, medium enterprise units in the state in a systematic manner, which are the carriers of maximum employment generation, and prepare an action plan with the target of setting up 70 to 80 lakh MSMEs in the next 5 years.
It is noteworthy that the state government, along with supporting micro, small and medium industries, also helps through schemes to promote them into big industries. Industrial areas are being continuously managed and developed for these enterprises in the state.
As per the policy of the government, an investment of Rs 1 crore in plant and machinery or industry and annual turnover up to Rs 5 crore is kept under micro, investment up to Rs 10 crore and turnover up to Rs 50 crore is kept under small and investment up to Rs 50 crore and turnover of Rs 250 crore is kept under medium enterprise.
In Madhya Pradesh MSME Incentive Scheme, units are generally given 40 percent grant and food processing industries are given up to 60 percent grant.
Under the Incentive Scheme, 463 enterprises have been given benefits in the year 2021-22, 483 in 22-23, 774 units in 23-24. So far in this financial year, proposals of 616 units have been received.
So far, 1 lakh 11 thousand 716 MSME units have been registered in production, service and trade in the state in the year 2020-21, 2 lakh 45 thousand 341 in the year 2021-22, 3 lakh 60 thousand 442 in the year 2022-23, and 4 lakh 57 thousand 499 MSME units in the last financial year 2023-24.
