Hyderabad: Chairman of Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) Sivan has said that he is focusing on five launches in five months.
These include the Chandrayaan-2 campaign and it is very busy with these projection programs. Siwan said that in the first half of 2018, the campaigns that are planned from Sriharikota Space Center include GSLV-FO8 (GSAT-6A satellite), GSLV Mk3 (second development flight), ‘Chandrayaan-2’ and PSLV (IRNSS- 1I direction and location indicator satellite). Space Agency made Arianspace 5 7 tonnes of GSAT-11 satellite has also given a contract to launch till June. It will be launched from the space station of the European Space Agency located in Kourou, French Guyanese. Siwan said that now, we are quite busy. He is also Secretary in the Department of Space and the Chairman of the Space Commission. There are currently 45 arbitrary satellites in the fleet of India and the head of the space agency said that there is a need for such a number of spaceships as well. He said that we are planning to launch 15 to 18 per year from next year.
However, he said that this is a goal. He said that in reality, there are many other issues. At the moment, this (ISRO’s launch annually) is less than half of the launch of 15 to 18 satellites. GSAT-11 is probably considered to be the last heavy satellite to be launched from the foreign spacecraft, but Sivan warned against reaching this conclusion. He said that we can not say that we will not take help of any foreign spacecraft.
Ability to launch satellites up to four tons Right now, our capacity is to launch satellites up to four tonnes. He said that we are trying to reach that higher capacity. We are thinking about reducing the size of the satellite. Whatever we are getting from the satellites weighing 5.7 tonnes, we can also get a satellite of four ton weights, provided we use the electric propellant (propulsion). Sivan said that it would be within our capacity of GSLV.
