Bhopal. Food Festival was organized this year. The festival was organized on 26th, 27th and 28th January in association with Radio Mirchi in Bitton Market. Here, more than 30 restaurants of Bhopal have had their stalls installed.

10 home chef stalls had also been set up for the Bhopal Foodies Group members. The main purpose of the event is to express gratitude to the farmers. Dr. Nida Farhan of Bhopal Fudgej told that farmers make available food for our society by working hard, but the situation of farmers is becoming pathetic.

Keeping this in mind, with the spirit of co-ordination for the farmers, we have kept the farmers’ unarmed central theme. Bhopal Fudge is the online food community of central India. It is present on Instagram and Facebook.
Farmers Market
Farmers have been invited specifically for the fest. Where they will tell the full journey from the production of cereal-vegetable to food. Photographs will also be exhibited for this. Organic food and manure will also be sold by farmers here.
National and International Cuisine
National and inter-national cuisine will be available for food lovers in the fest. People here will also be able to buy organic fruits, vegetables and food items. In the fair, cooking, baking competitions, demonstration and workshops will also be organized along with colorful presentations. Farmers had also been honored on the last day for their sacrifices, hardwork and contributions for the country. Many stalls of Andhra Mirchi, Kailash Prabhat, Punjabi delite, bread and better, Milkshake Culture, Sair Sapata, Nature’s bar, Cuisine cottage, Gaurav farms and dairy products etc. were there.
Gaurav Sharma, owner of Gaurav dairy and farm says, “People are getting knowledge of our indian products here. We have all the products made by native cows. We have pure milk, Ghee, Paneer, Gau Mutra, Agnihotri cakes mixed with herbs; used as mosquito killer coil which is totally herbal and safe. Apart of that, we have earthworm manure. My message to bhopalies is, go for pure and promote Desi cows. We should protect and respect our mother cow, as the beginning of our day happens with tea or milk only.”

The Bhopal Foodies is one of the fastest growing community in Central India. This group on social media (Facebook and Instagram) has over 19,000 members.

Apart from food stalls, there was a play zone for kids, activities related to cooking demonstrations and workshops and
Photography exhibition, which also became a center of attraction there.
Opportunities to the homemakers of the city to showcase their cooking talent to visitors were given at the event.

Those women and men who actively participate in Bhopal Foodies group and share their recipes on social media were selected to showcase their talent.
