Rajesh Jangde, a resident of Nainpur in Mandla, says I could hardly sustain my family by working as a labourer.
Have to do hard labour but get less money. One day I came to know about the Pradhan Mantri Swa-Nidhi Yojana. I came to know that I can start my own employment with the financial assistance given in the scheme, he said.
Jangde started the business of seasonal fruits with the financial assistance of Rs. 10,000 from the Swa-Nidhi scheme.
Now business is going well. The financial condition of the family has also improved, he asserts. Jangde is thinking of doing better in this business.
Similarly, Jayatri Vishwakarma now has her own house now.
Jayatri Vishwakarma of Nainpur says “now I have no fear of rain, cold and changing weather. Earlier I used to live in a kutcha house and with the changing of the weather, facing many difficulties became a part of life. After getting a pucca house under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, it seems as if life has become very easy”.
When the first installment of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana arrived in my bank account, Jayatri says, tears of happiness sprung up.
Earlier it seemed that my whole life would end with the troubles of a kutcha house.
In the rainy season, there was also the fear of insects and pests.
The dream of all the needy is being fulfilled by this scheme.
It is the dream of everyone to have a pucca roof over the head of their family and their own house. I express my heartfelt gratitude to the Prime Minister and the Chief Minister along with my entire family, she said.
