The domestic Indian men’s cricket seasons will begin on 20 October and will last until 26 March 2022, including the Ranji Trophy that was canceled the previous season because to the Covid-19 epidemic. The Ranji Trophy will be performed in the three-month timeframe of the Indian cricket board, announced Saturday, 16 November 2021 through 19 February 2022.
Five days after completing the remainder of the Indian Première League (IPL) 2021, on October 15, the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, which is the national T20 event, will start.
“The coveted Ranji Trophy, which was canceled last season due to the Covid-19 pandemic, will be played in a three-month window from November 16, 2021, to February 19, 2022,” the statement added.
“The Vijay Hazare Trophy will take place from February 23, 2022, to March 26, 2022,” it added.
In all, there will be 2,127 domestic games in different age groups in men’s and women’s categories this season.
However, the domestic season will commence with the women’s competitions.
“The domestic season will commence on September 21, 2021, with the Senior Women’s One Day League and will be followed by the Senior Women’s One Day Challenger Trophy, which will take place from October 27, 2021,” the statement said.
