The Supreme Court has spoken in the matter of lifetime ban of Cricketer S Sreesanth today.
On the lifelong ban on Sreesanth, the Supreme Court has asked the BCCI to respond in 4 weeks. It is worth noting that Sreesanth had filed a petition against the Kerala High Court’s decision in which the BCCI imposed a life ban after getting the guilty of spot-fixing in the IPL in 2013.
On February 1, after the matter came up in front of a bench headed by Chief Justice Deepak Mishra, he had instructed it to be listed for hearing before a suitable bench according to the roster. This bench said, “The matter should be placed before the appropriate bench according to the roster on February 5. Earlier, a division bench of the high court overturned the decision of the single bench on 34-year-old fast bowler, in which the lifelong ban imposed by the BCCI was revoked.
Earlier, the Kerala High Court had ordered Sreesanth not to participate in any cricket activity in the BCCI scope. After this, Sreesanth has challenged the Kerala Court’s decision in the Supreme Court. In the year 2016, a special Delhi court ruled Sreesanth as an accused and in that case all the charges were fixed on him.
