The “Baba ka Dhaba” narrative, which has captivated the public’s interest since it first appeared last year and has seen several narrative twists, has finally taken a favorable turn today. The food blogger behind the viral hit “Baba Ka Dhaba” has posted a smiling photo with the elderly couple who had accused him of swindling money contributed by others in the past.
“All is well that ends well,” tweeted Gaurav Wasan, whose film highlighting the elderly couple’s plight had resulted in contributions and a surge in foot traffic at the modest diner.
This comes after Kanta Prasad, the dhaba’s owner, apologised. Mr Prasad can be heard stating, “In a video published by another food blogger, Mr Prasad can be heard stating, “In a video posted by another food blogger, Mr Prasad can be heard stating, “Gaurav Wasan had never been a thief. The blogger’s humanitarian effort, however, sparked a tremendous backlash as Mr Prasad accused him of cash embezzlement. The social media star vehemently refuted the allegations, citing his bank statements as evidence.
“My parents taught me that the one who forgives is a bigger person than the person who makes a mistake,” Mr Wasan wrote in his latest Hindi tweet.
Following his unexpected fortune, the 80-year-old opened a restaurant in the same Malviya Nagar neighbourhood where he had operated his kiosk for 30 years. However, after his new enterprise failed to take off, he has returned to his food stall.
On an investment of ₹ 1 lakh, we only earned ₹ 35,000, that is why we shut it. I am happy running my old eatery as the customer footfall is good here,” he was quoted as saying by news agency ANI. He also said that he will now run his Dhaba till the day he dies
