Minister of State for AYUSH (Independent Charge) Shri Ramkishore ‘Nano’ Kanware has said that Ayurveda physicians should increase the credibility of the AYUSH department in the society through their exceptional work. He said that Ayurvedic system of medicine flourished in the world from the ages till date. During Corona period, the general public has understood its importance to boost immunity. Minister of State Shri Kanware was addressing the workshop organised in the auditorium of Pt. Khushilal Sharma Ayurveda College today. Chief Executive Officer of Devaranya Yojana Shri Sanjay Kumar Mishra was also present on this occasion.

Minister of State for AYUSH Shri Kanware apprised that the spectrum of activities of the AYUSH department has been widened in the last few years in Madhya Pradesh. The state government has provided adequate resources to the department. The field officers of the department should make medical services easily accessible to the general public by making regular visits. Regular operation of Ayush Health and Wellness Center should be ensured.
Principal Secretary Ayush Smt. Kalpana Srivastava said that Yog Se Nirog programme started during the Corona period has yielded better results. Commissioner Ayush Smt. Sonali Wayangankar told that the number of 562 health and wellness centres currently operating is being increased to 800. The works of Devaranya Yojana and National Ayush Mission were also discussed.
Farmers’ interest in cultivation of medicinal plants has increased
It was told that the interest of farmers towards medicinal farming has increased due to the Devaranya Yojana. MoUs have been signed with private companies so that farmers can get better price for medicinal plants. Herbal parks are being developed in selected areas with the help of farmer organisations. Renowned Ayurvedacharya Dr. Dharmendra Richhariya of Gwalior was honoured for his excellent work. The programme was conducted by Dr. Shuchi Dubey Mishra.
