‘Avengers: Endgame’ has entered the $2 billion club. Marvel’s hit has surpassed the box office collection of the classic romantic-drama ‘Titanic’.
According to a statement issued on behalf of the makers, the Marvel Studios film has collected a whopping Rs 372.56 crore (gross box office collection) and Rs 312.95 crore (net box office collection) in just 10 days.
James Cameron’s ‘Avatar’ that made 278.8 crores USD in the box office is now being compared with ‘Avengers: Endgame’, latest by Marvel’s cinematic universe.
“Avengers: Endgame remains the first choice of moviegoers. Business took a slight dip on (second) Friday, but gathered speed on (second) Saturday. Will cross ₹300 crore today (Sunday),” trade analyst Taran Adarsh had tweeted on Sunday.
“If slow and steady wins the race, then the oncoming barrage of big summer titles should collectively over time knock the percentage even lower and in systematic fashion in the coming weeks,” said Paul Dergarabedian, a senior media analyst at Comscore.
