On Thursday, police said they had recovered over 31 quintals of ganja worth Rs 2 crore from a home in Odisha’s Ganjam district.
On Wednesday night, police stormed the residence in Khaparaganda hamlet and seized the cannabis after receiving a tip.
The house’s owner has been apprehended, according to Aska Subdivisional Police Officer (SDPO) Uma Shankar Singh.
According to the police officer, an inquiry is ongoing to track down the suppliers and those participating in the scam. According to Superintendent of Police Brijesh Rai, searches would be carried out in a number of places in the coming days.
In January, 10.90 quintals of ganja worth about ₹ 55 lakh were seized near Berhampur.
