Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that Atal ji was wonderful and Gwalior is wonderful. Atal ji was a symbol of patriotism. He used to say that this country is not a piece of land for us, it is a living human being. Atal ji was Ajatshatru. He made India a nuclear superpower and broke the pride of America.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that Gwalior, the land of Rishi Galav, Sangeet Samrat Tansen, Saint Ganga Das, Dholi Bua Maharaj, Raja Mansingh Tomar, Atal ji and Shri Madhav Maharaj, is wonderful from every point of view. The fort here, Data Bandichod Gurudwara are special. Gwalior’s Kachori, Bahadura’s laddoos are famous, which Atal ji also liked very much. I express my heartfelt gratitude to the people of Gwalior for celebrating the pride day in the name of Atal ji.
Chief Minister Chouhan participated in Gwalior Gaurav Diwas at Maharaj Bada in Gwalior today. He honored the talents of Gwalior. Chief Minister Chouhan appealed to everyone present to make Gwalior number-1 in cleanliness as well. He enjoyed sarod playing by renowned sarod maestros Ustad Amjad Ali Khan, Aman Ali Khan, Ayan Ali Khan and songs by renowned singer Anuradha Podwal.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that the development journey started by Atal ji in the country, today Modi ji is completing it. Today we are following the road map made by Atal ji. Today, under the able leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India is leading the world in many fields. Atal ji was a unique leader of the world. He was the first Prime Minister who gave a speech in the United Nations in Hindi. Modi ji also gave a speech in the United Nations in Hindi.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that today is a day of joy, enthusiasm and gaiety. There is no guest here. We all are humble servants of the people of Gwalior. The road-map for progress and development is ready to make Gwalior a modern city.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that English was imposed in India, due to which our talents were getting frustrated. Madhya Pradesh has decided that medical and engineering studies will also be done in Hindi in Madhya Pradesh, following the new education policy, it is being implemented today. The government is also paying the fees for higher education of meritorious students in the state.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that a grand memorial will be built in Gwalior in Atal ji’s memory. An e-library and research center will be set up in the memorial using audio-visual medium to highlight Atal ji’s biography, works and personality. The registration of the memorial trustis done and the land has been selected. Work will start soon.
Union Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Narendra Singh Tomar said that late Atal Bihari Vajpayee was a great leader of the world. We are all proud of his work, leadership and personality. The path shown by Atal ji is a guide for all of us. It is difficult even for a big litterateur to express Atal ji’s personality in words. He thanked Chief Minister Chouhan for starting the scheme of organizing the pride day of every city and every village in the entire state.
Union Civil Aviation and Steel Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia said that the politics of former Prime Minister late Atal Bihari Vajpayee included public service, literature and spirituality. He has left an indelible mark in the hearts of the people of the country. The coming generations will also remember him. Scindia said that Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan deserves congratulations for starting the glorious tradition of celebrating Pride Day in the state.

Chief Minister Chouhan gave Gwalior Gaurav Samman to Ustad Amjad Ali Khan (Sarod player) for Music, Dr. V.K. Saraswat (Defence Scientist) for Science, Dr. Jamal Yusuf (Cardiologist) for Medicine, Ishika Chowdhary (International Hockey Player) for Sports and O.P. Dixit (Educationist) for education. Dr. Hariom Panwar, the well-known poet of Veer Ras, was given the Atal Kavi Samman.
Water Resources, Fishermen Welfare and Fisheries Development Minister Tulsiram Silavat, Energy Minister Pradyuman Singh Tomar, Minister of State for Horticulture and Food Processing (Independent Charge) Bharat Singh Kushwaha, MP V.D.
