Assam has issued new guidelines that will take effect on Monday in light of the declining trend in Covid-19 cases. According to the latest notification, high positivity districts will have round-the-clock curfews, districts with a moderate positivity rate will have 2pm to 5pm curfews, and districts showing improvement will have 5pm to 5am curfews.
“The Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA) has issued a revised and consolidated directive containing directives to further contain the spread of Covid-19 in the districts. Today’s order will be applicable across the State w.e.f. 5 AM of June 28, 2021, and will remain in force until further order,” read an order
Check the Assam government’s fresh guidelines:
- Workplaces, businesses, and shops will be closed in high-positivity districts, but will be open until 1 p.m. in moderate-positivity districts, and until 4 p.m. in improving districts.
- Grocery stores, fruit and vegetable stands, dairy and milk booths, and animal feed stores will be open until 5 p.m. in high-positivity districts, 1 p.m. in moderate-positivity districts, and 4 p.m. in improving districts.
- Except in total containment areas, all government employees who have received at least one dose of Covid-19 vaccine must report to work. Employees in the private sector are free to make their own attendance decisions.
