After Nachiket Lele, this was the show’s seventh elimination. This week, Sayli Kamble, Anjali Gaikwad, and Swai Bhatt were in danger. On Indian Idol 12, just eight candidates remain.

As one fan put it, “The hashtag for this year’s Indian Idol is #IndianIdol2021. These are trying times… I’m afraid of every phone call, every social media post… who knows what the future holds. A couple of hours of music transports us to a bygone period. None of the kids, especially #AnjaliGaikWad, deserve to be eliminated. Return her to you (sic).”
While a user tweeted, “This is really favourism to eliminate #AnjaliGaikWad instead of #ShanmukhaPriya. Is this fixed (sic)??” another wrote, “Every song shouldn’t be played with and some ever green classics need no unnecessary change. #ShanMukhPriya you are talented but please stop. #IndianIdol2021 please stop promoting sob stories and hyping one track talent. Sad to see #anjaligaikwad go (sic)!”
