New Delhi: Bollywood actress Sridevi died at the age of 54 at Dubai on Saturday night. She had gone to Dubai to attend a family wedding ceremony. Sridevi’s death was due to a heart attack.
Sridevi died after 12 o’clock, but Bollywood’s legendary actor Abhitibh Bachchan may have had an hunch of it a few hours before only and that is why he wrote it on Twitter. He tweeted, ‘Do not know why, there is a strange nervousness.’ It is worth mentioning that Amitabh Bachchan and Sridevi worked together in the film ‘Khuda Gawaah’. In the film ‘Khuda Gawaah’, released on May 8, 1992, Sridevi played the role of Benazir, while Amitabh Bachchan was in the role of ‘Badshah Khan’.
Sridevi was born in Tamil Nadu on August 13, 1963 in Tamil Nadu. She started her career at the age of four years only, her career began with a Tamil film, Karunai. She also acted as a child artist in Telugu and Malayalam films. After working in South Indian films, Sridevi started her Hindi film career in the year 1979 as a lead actor film ‘Solahwan Saal’. In the 80s, Sridevi was at its peak in Hindi films. She gave superhit films like Himmatwala, Tohfa, Mr. India, Nagina. She was called Lady Amitabh Bachchan. Also, she was awarded the fourth highest civil award in 2013 by Padma Shri. Sridevi has won 5 Filmfare Awards for Best Actress.
