The data trends over the last five years of the state institutions indicate a 42.29% enhancement in the PhD enrollments.
The Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Good Governance and Policy Analysis (AIGGPA) Bhopal to organize ‘Madhya Pradesh PhD Colloquium 2022’ for the young doctoral courses (Ph.D) researchers of the state from April 28 to 29 next at Bhopal.
The AIGGPA is going to organize the colloquium in collaboration with ICSSR New Delhi at the RCVP Noronha Academy of Administration, Bhopal.
The candidates enrolled in doctorate courses (PhD) in year 2019 onwards of central/state universities/institutes located in Madhya Pradesh are eligible to participate in the colloquium.
The themes of the colloquium is tribals and their development, natural resource management and sustainability, urbanization, agricultural and rural development, health including AYUSH, biodiversity and traditional knowledge, trade, industry, financial inclusion and knowledge economy.
The objectives of the colloquium are to provide mentorship platform for young scholars in Madhya Pradesh to guide them in developing proposals with best data resources, methodology and policy-oriented research projects.
This will guide the young researchers’ in aligning their research ideas (preferably PhD thesis) with the developmental vision of the Madhya Pradesh government and to act as a platform to connect PhD Guide/Supervisors and young researchers sharing similar research interest to boost collaboration and rigor in research.
The data trends over the last five years indicate a 42.29% enhancement in the PhD enrolment, 39.66 % decrement in the interest in M.Phil. courses, as per the website of AIGGPA.
In the last five years, overall female students’ enrolment in courses is higher as compared with male students, i.e., 54.00% female and 34.01% male students enhanced in the last five years in PhD. Madhya Pradesh is now emerging as a potential producer of research-oriented students in various sectors.
