Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that Acharya Shankar did the work of uniting India by establishing Maths in all the four directions East-West-North-South. Because of them the identity of our culture has remained. His Advaita Vedanta philosophy is giving the right direction to the people. His message will be conveyed to the masses.
Chouhan was addressing the Acharya Shankar Prakatotsav, Ekatm Parv organized by Acharya Shankaracharya Cultural Integration Trust and Culture Department of Madhya Pradesh Government at Kushabhau Thackeray Auditorium. Swami Avdheshanand Giri Ji Maharaj and Chief Minister Shri Chouhan inaugurated the program by lighting the lamp. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan welcomed the saints on the stage. The Chief Minister honored Swamini Vimalananda Saraswati for her contribution to spirituality and culture and Dr. Kanshiram ji for her remarkable cultural contribution by giving her a citation and a certificate.
Chouhan said that only one thing comes to mind after reading our Vedas and Upanishads that we all have the same consciousness. We are all one. Thousands of years ago our sages gave the message of “Vasudaiva Kutumbakam”. India has given the message of “live and let live”. Ekatmdham is being built in Omkareshwar. From here the whole world will get the message of unity. Omkareshwar is the initiation land of Acharya Shankar. Ekatm Yatra was organized in the state to install the statue of Adi Guru Shankaracharya. The work of taking the message of Advaita Vedanta to every village is being done. We all will follow the saints under their guidance to transform India and the world in Parivrajak Yojana. The presence of saints will change the atmosphere. Bharat Mata is once again occupying the post of Vishwa Guru. India will do the work of showing the way to the world. Indeed the day will come,
India respected all religious beliefs
Swami Avdheshanand Giriji Maharaj said that in the world only the Self is worth knowing. India respected all the differences of opinion. Adi Shankaracharya had visited India thrice at the age of 32. I have contributed in preparing 12.5 lakh sanyasis in India. India will make the world see Advaiva Vedanta only through sannyasis. Appreciating Chief Minister Chouhan, he said that the work which was to be done by the teachers and saints of India, has been done by the Chief Minister Shri Chouhan.
Chouhan took the initiative to advance the principles of Acharya Shankaracharya
Spiritual Guru Yug Purush Swami Parmanand Giri Ji Maharaj said that there is meaning in life in taking the principles of Jagatguru Shankaracharya to the masses. The one who knows knowledge becomes blessed. Indian culture is necessary for nation building. Stay away from intoxication. Lord Shankaracharya has done a lot.
Chouhan has taken up the task of taking his principles forward.
The decision to install the statue of Adi Shankaracharya is commendable
Swamini Vimalananda Saraswati said that Lord Shankaracharya was Brahmagyani.
He is Brahma, that is his real identity. He was also an incarnate man. Shankaracharya appeared with the blessings of Lord Shiva.
He was a man of the era. His influence was huge, which is still in our homes today. Advaita is the name of Lord Shankaracharya.
The decision of the Madhya Pradesh government to install the statue of Adi Shankaracharya at Omkareshwar is commendable.
Scholar of culture, literature and grammar, Dr. Kanshi Ram said that there is unity in Advaita philosophy. Differences in the human world can be solved by this only. I dedicate myself to teaching the commentaries of Shankaracharya.
Principal Secretary Culture Shiv Shekhar Shukla said that the construction work of Acharya Shankar’s idol in Omkareshwar is going on at a fast pace. Acharya Shankar Prakatotsav is celebrated as a unity festival.
Advaita Vedanta Jagran Shivir is being organized by the government. A short film focusing on Advaita Vedanta Jagran camp was shown in the programme.
Around 100 campers were provided with initiation material at the convocation ceremony. Two campers Anant Seth and Snehil Lahoti shared their experiences and views.
