During his ‘Jan Samvad Yatra’ in Gujarat’s Junagarh, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Isudan Gadhvi’s convoy was allegedly assaulted. The attack was allegedly carried out by “BJP goons,” according to the AAP.
Ten AAP volunteers were injured in the event, in which 6-7 cars in the convoy were assaulted, according to the AAP.
Some individuals were standing on the road, waving black flags in protest of AAP leaders Isudan Gadhvi and Mahesh Swani, and using sticks to assault the caravan, according to the party.
AAP leader Mahesh Swani claimed he had never seen anything like that in his life and that they were lucky to have fled.
AAP volunteers have assembled at Visavadar Police Station in Junagadh for an all-night protest against the event, according to available information.
The AAP intends to file a police report.
More than 70 BJP goons allegedly attacked AAP leaders and supporters, according to the Aam Aadmi Party. The BJP is “scared of AAP’s strong entry in the Gujarat civic polls and its ever-increasing support base,” according to a tweet from the party.
Kejriwal stated on Twitter that he spoke with Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani and asked him to register a FIR and arrest the perpetrators.
“Spoke to Vijay Rupani Ji. Urged him to file FIR, arrest the culprits, ensure strong action against culprits and ensure the protection of AAP leaders and workers,” Kejriwal said.
