A program organized on 149th Birthday of Kasturba Gandhi (Ba) by Madhya Pradesh Sarvodaya Mandal At 9 a.m in Gandhi Bhawan.

Children and youth of Gandhi public schools participated in this program with special guests. The program started with the simple and energetic addressing of the Additional Director General of Police, Anuradha Shankar Singh, who told interesting facts about Baa (Kasturba Gandhi). Santosh Singh Dwivedi, President of Madhya Pradesh Sarvodaya Mandal, said about the struggle of Kasturba, that the Struggle is one thing for the faith and decision of self, but second is the struggle for the decision and trust of his husband Mohandas.

Walking on the path of honesty and sacrifice shows the personality trait of Ba. When Jill Sister asked about the birthdate and death anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, all children answered quickly, but when she asked the same about Baa, they all went silent. Then she said that this day is our endeavors to give proper respect to Ba, by changing this attitude of all of us by not creating the indifference of the woman and man. And specially of the woman whose personality is so strong, whose contribution is important in our freedom struggle.

The secretary of Gandhi Bhawan, Shri Dayaram Namdev said in his exhortation that a person becomes great by his behavior. Baa’s dedication, personality make her a great person, she can be the source of inspiration for our today’s suffering. If today’s generation starts taking an inspiration by the strong character of Baa, we will surely be emerged as the society with humanity. He exhorted the youth of Madhya Pradesh to say that if 150 youths from 150 villages follow the ideals of Gandhiji and Baa, then a great society will be formed. The Last speech was given by Sudhakar sister from Karnataka. Shee called this event a new start and hoped that such events would be held in other places at Gandhi Bhawan and other places in India, so that everyone should know about her life and take all inspiration.

The next part of the program was presented by the youth of ‘Ansh Happiness Society’ written by ‘Kannan Biswas’, a play of ‘ek Yatra Baa ke Ghar Ki’. This drama reflects some of the events of the life of Baa. The crisp script and melodious music of this drama and specially the independent personality of this great woman Kasturba Gandhi was loved by everyone.

The performers of this play were Charika, Sahil, Niru, Imtiaz, Sankit, Harshita, Shivam, Kanchan, Gaurvi, Deepak, Vishal, Shubham, Shoaib, Saurabh and Ayushree. In the end, painting and literary activity was organized for children, which included children from Delhi Public School, Uniting School and Pratap Nagar. This program was done by Coordination of Sagarika, Divyanshu, Hemant and Kanika, who were helped and guidanced by Satish Raj Acharya.
